New pioneers for the human race, we're here to defy gravity
Pre flight check and buckle in, to escape our fate we pull 7 gees
Strapped in tight we head for space, we explode straight up from the ground
No turning back we're on the go, we're 25 times the speed of sound.

Mere minutes pass we're beyond the sky, there's no stopping now as we face the stars,
we pass the I S S and then the moon, then we punch it hard and on to Mars.
Expectations soaring high, on a one way trip we've got to cope
I take one last look through the rearview port at our little blue dot of hope

A new colony heads across the sea, a sea as black as black can be
Chased by interstellar winds we leave behind our mortal sins
Friends and family left behind, new adventures I'm soon to find
One way forward no time to mope, we're out to save that blue dot of hope
